Overall, another fantastic experience with TGC. A couple of feedback points: the hotel in Tokyo was a bit nicer than the one in Kyoto. Moreover, it was preferable for us to be able to choose our own breakfast (and not at a designated time), especially for those of us who do not tend towards savory for breakfast, which was the case at the hotel at Kyoto.
One very nice detail was the variety of different food venues that we ate at. Most were what would be most likely called holes-in-the-wall, but they were more like hidden gems. A minor critique is that there were moments that I felt my body craving less fried food and more fresh vegetables, but overall everything ranged from delicious to "wow, I could live on this!" (the ramen in Kyoto, for example)
Leo was the absolute best. Her energy, approachability and fun nature made the trip an absolute pleasure.
I am grateful for having gotten familiar with different areas of Japan, in addition to the transit system and the bullet train, and also that we were able to get our steps in on a daily basis. Again, for Leo to be able to manage all of us logistically was a marvel, and I hope that she continues on with TGC for future groups to be able to experience her wonderfulness.
